Suitable for marketers and web developers.

  • Do you want to understand how to research customer behaviour within websites?
  • Are you interested in extending yourself into the area of website usability, WITH confidence?
  • Do you want to challenge yourself to be able to provide even greater value and insight to your usability testing recommendations?

We are looking to engage creative and inquisitive marketers and web developers in the art and science of usability testing. No-one would argue that the role of the website is growing but brands are becoming increasingly aware that the brand web experience needs to marry with the rest of the desired brand experience. With this in mind, how are you placed to meet your or your client’s needs in this regard?

With over 10 years experience in web usability, we will be delivering a 1 day training workshop in 'Usability Testing'. After a review of key usability trends in Australia and overview of the role and function of usability testing, the workshop will cover all aspects of a website usability testing project. Specifically the workshop will cover:
  • Usability scripts and scenarios
  • Recruitment and incentives
  • Running the usability test - moderation
  • Analysis and reporting, and
  • Project management considerations.

Each aspect of the course will be supported by provocative usability case studies which will bring the learnings to life.

At the end of the course, you will be able to conduct your own usability testing projects. You will receive takeaway documents which will include templates and guidelines for every step of the process.

Not only will you have a greater appreciation for how website interfaces work, your understanding about user behaviour in general will be enriched. It will also become evident that you will be able to apply the same usability principles to other aspect of the brand’s offline promise.
